My 97 Honda Civic Ex seems to have developed a variety of problems in the last two weeks. I had posted about one of them a couple of days ago but now there seems to be more trouble. I will repeat the previous problem and the new one too.
1) It takes time to start when its been sitting around for a while/overnight. I have to hold the key in the start position for 6-7 seconds before the car will start. Any time the rest of the day it will start just fine.

2) For the last 2 days just when I start the car it almost behaves like the rear tires are pulling it back.. There seems to be a small vibrating drag from behind before it starts driving smoothly. This is probably below 5-10 mph immediately after starting. The car's rear strut is leaking and I was going to replace it soon, but its been like that for a month. I was wondering why this drag would start suddenly.

3) 2-3 times in the last couple of days, the car started jerking while I tried to accelerate. Once it was while going uphill and I tried to accelerate, and the next few times I was on a flat highway going at about 50-55 mph when it started jerking continuously. I desisted from accelerating again for the rest of the journey. It almost seemed as if the engine would fall out.

I have a slightly broken motor mount but when I had it checked the mechanic said it wouldn't be an issue. I wonder if all these problems are related or if there is a different reason for all of them.

Please help!
I live in Colorado. I thought it might be due to the cold but the 1st problem happens even if its a warm day and I start the car for the first time in the afternoon.

Well the first problem could be of cold nature to the engine. Depends where you live .. does it get REALLY cold?
