1996 Yamaha V-max 600 Problem?

I just bough a used 1996 Yamaha V-max 600. Its a awesome Machine. Anyways, my problem is it runs like its only running on one plug. i can make it scream so it isnt like a piston or anything because then i wouldnt even be able to do that. Im starting to think its electrical. i rode it about 20 min. or so before it started acting up like this. it barely has enough power to pull its own weight. ive put in new plugs and everything. they are the specified plugs. please please help me. 2moro is supposed to be very nice and i would like to ride
 
Had it been sitting a while before you got it? If so it may have bad gas. Gas goes bad in a month to 6 weeks without an additive. That is a very common problem in small engines.
