My friend was driving his camry the other day, accelerated quickly to merge onto the freeway and all the sudden the engine lost some power and stalled. It started again but has a knocking sound.
Now the engine makes the knocking sound, but it is not constant...It seems to come and go but it's there most of the time....Sounds like a metallic pinging???
We're both thinking it's a valve but we wanted to ask around to get a few more opinions?
