I recently purchased a 1996 Suzuki GSX-R 750. The stator cover was previously cracked and sealed with JB Weld. After a put a few hard miles on it, the stator cover developed a slight oil leak. I removed it and found about a 1/4 cup of oil in the stator cover...
IS THIS NORMAL??
IF NOT, WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE PROBLEMS AND COSTS AM I LOOKING AT??
**Details answers are appreciated**
So it is not possible to seal the stator cover with JB Weld...like the previous owner did?? It seemed to have worked temporarily. Can I re-seal it with JB Weld for another temp fix??

oil should NOt be in the stator area.... stator = ELECTRICAL...

find a new one either from the dealership, or online or ebay... give me a second and i'll post a link to a place where you can find one...
