1996 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN?

Just recently i was driving the van and if i put it in a gear and let it sit at a stop light for a little it makes noises. then the following day i was driving it all of a sudden started to make a whining noise real bad then if i came to a stop it would take about 2-3 times by pressing the gas to go and when it did it made a muffed noise some times when i would be driving and i press on the gas to go faster it wouldn't go the RP MS would just go high then it would finally go fast if i tried it Again what can this be no check engine lite is on and i had it checked by a transmission mechanic he did test and said the Trans is working fine need help don't know what it can be
