I have been to four different mechanics and none of the could diagnose the problem with my 1996 Dodge Dakota. A couple months ago it started acting like it was running out of gas stalling periodically. It would stall a couple times on the way to work and then run fine for the rest of the day. The problem has always been in the morning. I had the fuel pump checked and it was good. then I changed out the plugs wires cap and rotor. still the same problems. When i took my truck in a camshaft positioning sensor was installed and my catalytic converter broke up throughout my exhaust so that was replaced also. However, it still stalls and now instead of starting right back up it takes about two minutes to get it running again. All of the mechanics have said basically the same thing. The window in which your vehicle malfunctions is to short to be able to accurately diagnose the problem. Just last weekend 5 codes came up misfire in cyl 5, multiple misfires, 2 o2 sensor codes, and my ignition coil. Could a bad ignition coil expain these problems.

fuel filter bad fuel coil plug wires fuel pump and what i would do is go to another shop leave it with them if it only does at start of drive so they can see for them selfves what its doing when it does it get out and pull coil wire and crank over see if there is fire or not

Yes, in a matter of fact it can. If aa coil is old/bad, it can cause these problems you describe. May seem fine one time, and then not another time. I'd say go ahead and replace that, since you pretty much covered everything else already.
