1995 toyota corolla is dead?

It died in the road! Timing has been changed in 2000 with only 10,000 miles added since then. Its not the battery nor starter nor alt. maybe it is the fuel pump. They are expensive! What are the steps to take from least expensive in replacing parts to get to problem.? i dont want to run out to buy fuel pump first when the prob could cost $$$ less just to find out its not actually pump.
AND DONT TELL ME TO TAKE IT TO SHOP DIAG...i know this and it cost...hehehe
 
Check the fuel pump by putting your key on the on position and listen for the wine noise coming from the fuel tank. If you hear it then its working.
