I'm looking for a car which I can use to get from home to school and work. I found a 95 Celica GT with a clean title, fully loaded, no damage at all, in really good condition with 250k miles on it for about 3000 dollars. I was wondering if this would be worth it. Please let me know.

My college has two campuses:
One way distance is 6 miles two days a week and about 4 miles two other days a week.

My job is about 8 miles away and that is only 3-4 days a week and this accounts for 90% of my driving.

There is not much left of that engine. I would offer the person selling it $1000 and actually that is too much. That car is 14 years old. Better look for something else for $3000 if you have that much to spend.

250K on any car..heck no..that engine is on its way out, not worth 3000 at all, you could get a much better car, probably around the same year with less miles for the same price, such as a corolla, camry, or civic, even though i wouldnt recommend a 95 civic because those get stolen wayyy too much.

Nope, even with Toyota's reliability ratings the price is way too high. You would be extremely lucky if the car lasted another 30,000 miles.
To put into perspective, I just sold my 91 Honda Accord with 150,000 miles for only $1,500. Big difference in mileage at half the price.
