1995 Jeep Cherokee door is broke?

I recently bought a 4 door 1995 jeep cherokee short and the backseat left hand door does not work. Its all manual, unlocking the doors is manual, rolling down the window is manual, its pretty much a old fashion Jeep, and when i use the handle to open the door it does not open! And when im sitting on the inside of the Jeep when i try to unlock the door the unlock switch does not switch its stuck, tonight i opened up the panel to see if i can maybe get the switch unstuck but i could not get it open enough to see the inside of the door and sine i love that Jeep i cant and dont want to break the door open just to fix the door, but it would be nice to use so when others need to sit in the backseat they dont have to climb over to ride in the Jeep. Does anyone have a website or any suggestions on how to fix the door without me breaking anything else.
 
Can u take the panel all the way off? It would make a lot easier to see whats wrong inside. Have u tried opening it from the inside and pushing hard on it? Maybe the hinges are rusted because it hasn't been opened for awhile.
