My Mom's car has had a bad transmission since 70K miles. She's been driving with it for about a year now. The car is in great physical condition, transmission, aside. I beleive it's a 95 model. It's 14 years old but currently has only 85K miles on it. Should she fix it or put the money into another (perhaps used) car? Should I tell her not to bother with it? She's 62 years old and nearing retirement. Her next car might be her last car (forgive me Lord for even thinking about it
.
If anyone could give me a guesstimate as to how much this car is worth to a dealer (if we chose to trade it in), I'd appreciate it as well. Thanks!
