1995 Dodge Wagon Engine or battery?

When i turn the key nothing happens at all.... The lights are all on in the van and stays on for a while... When i turn the key i can hear absolutly no sound of it attemping to start...
Their is a 'TUNK" soung it makes U sounds like the beginning of uncle.. very faint low noise

Your battery is completely dead. If there is no sound, or anything the electrical system is not on at all which would be your battery....

Something to check first are the battery cables as they are cheaper than a battery. I've seen loose or corroded cables let enough power through to light the lights, but not enough to start the vehicle. Try taking them off and cleaning them then put them back on the battery. Next try jumping the battery from another vehicle. If it cranks with the extra power from the jumper cables, it is battery and not in the starter/engine.The starter locked up or the engine frozen can cause this problem, but check the other things first as they are cheaper.
