1995 dodge neon 2.0 16valve timing belt broke while running.Replaced belt and

there is a gage hole on the cam sprocket that your suppose to put something like a drill bit in it so the cam gear won,t move when your putting the belt on.
 
Do a quick compression check - if there's little or no compression, recheck your belt and if it's correct, the head has to be removed and overhauled. Hopefully (rare) there's no serious piston damage.
 
Time to shop for a new engine. You have a zero tolerance engine,which means,ALL the valves MUST be closed when the piston comes up to Top Dead Center.Otherwise,the piston with hit,and destroy itself,and which ever valves are open.
 
The 420a motor has bent valves,I'll bet you don't hear any compression and the motor just spins freely. 7 to 8 hour job, might as well toss a water pump on while the head is off, it's easier to get to then. If you're lucky it's just the intakes that bent.
