I have a 1995 Dodge Avenger ES V6 which has the original hub bearing right on the other side of the passenger side's disk-rotor but the problem is that alot of rust is right on the backside AND frontside of the rotor making removal of the hub bearing impossible. Any recommendation on how to get all of the rust off so I can replace the hub wheel bearing?

use brake clean, a rag, and lock/bolt/hinge de-icer/remover
i hope that helps!

This bearing is what they call a pressed fit. The rust can be wire brushed some but still you will need a hub puller. It pulls onthe hub, pushing on the axle to remove it. as far as the installation, you tighten the 3 bolts that mount it to EVENLY put it back on. p.s. with the hub puller no rust removal is needed. just pull it off. the puller cost is around $50 -70. I hope this helps you some.

remove dust cover by prying and tap or pull it remove nut and washer wiggle rotor front bearin falls out replace nut give a few tugs rear bearing and seal will pop out remove nut remove rotor remover bearin g and seal if rust oil it and hammer an dbeat and pull
