1995 Chrysler LHS Rough, Erratic Idle then dies?

Car ran perfect 'til this morning. Very hard to start. Once started, idles very rough, then dies. If I immediately give it gas, it seems to run fine at higher RPM. I slowly let off gas to about 2000 RPM and it begins to sputter and idle roughly and dies. I thought it was a fuel problem, but I changed the fuel filter with no improvement.
Checked codes via the key on, off, on, off, on method and it gave me a 55, which means nothing.

You have a vacuum leak or the egr valve is stuck open. Check the intake and plenum gaskets for leaks. Good luck.

The first thing id do is check the plugs and wires , then the air filter ,pcv valve , plus remove the ignition module and check its housing for cracks or bulges or discolouring all are signs of a bad module.I'd also run some STP or Lucas fuel treatment through it and then see how it runs.
