Normally neither one works. Ocassionally when the outside temp is over 105 degrees they will both work temporarily. My fuel gauge and all of the idiot lights all seem to work fine. I have eliminated the spedo cable and gear drive in the trans. I have also eliminated the temp sensor on the motor. I thought that the problem was a loose conection behind the cluster so i pulled it out and checked the plug and wires for cracks or frays. I also have checked the back of the cluster for burn marks or anything obvious. I wiggled the plugs and wires while the car was moving to see if I could get any movement in the gauges but I have gotten none. I am at a loss on this issue and need some new ideas and ways to test them. thanks for your response
