1994 honda civic i have a questoin?

i have a 1994 honda civic it looks like the motors been swapped and theres headers . how can i tell what motor is in it theres nothing on the hood because its been replaced
 
on the block right next to the tranny south west of the headers, the engine code should be there
look on the pic it's right next to the barcode

it should read D16 or D15
 
Well you should find the vin number on the eng and type it into google it will come up with what car it came out of so you will know what kind it is
 
look at the engine. Look for some letters and numbers. That is the engine code aka model number.

For example: I believe 2nd generation integras engine models would be B18B. all I remember is that the 18 stands for engine size in liters as in 1.8 liters.

I drive a 97 honda civic so the engine is a d16y.

There should also be some serial numbers on the engine as well.
