1994 Chevy Blazer turns off after sudden stop?

I have a 1994 chevy blazer than shuts down after a sudden stop or when my car is low on gas, when it is low on gas it only shuts down at stops theni put it in park and start it again. My car also shakes after 70mph, and my serive engine soon light never turns off what could it be?
 
well it shuts down because you are stalling it and you say it has a case of the shakes + the light never turns off you should get it a m.o.t soon then you might find out what the problem is
