I have a 1993 Toyota Corolla that has developed a pretty nasty oil leak. I used some tracer dye and the leak seems to be coming from the timing belt cover. The cam and crank seal were replaced 20,000 miles ago with Toyota seals by a certified Toyota master tech. My question is about the oil pump location.
Is the pump behind the timing belt cover as well?
If it is, would a faulty oil pump seal create a nasty oil leak?
Please mention your experiences and qualifications. Thanks.
