I have a 1993 Suzuki Quad-runner that when you press the start button, the engine does not turn over. The starter is rotating inside of the transmission. When you pull the pull-cord, the engine rotates. When the starter is removed, it spins when electricity is added to it (12V). The teeth on the starter look good so, I do not think that there is a problem of worn teeth. I think that a gear inside of the transmission may be the problem, like a flywheel on a car. I just wanted another opinion before I start to tear into a transmission. Thanks in advance.
