I had the alternator tested and they said it was only pushing out 11 volts and not 12.. so wasnt recharging fully. they suggested i have all the connections checked and that something may have gotten wet and could be corroded. But im not sure what to check and how to go about it. can anyone help? basically i have to recharge my battery by 10 amp charger every week or so. seems the alternator is not charging like it should and also the fuel cutoff light comes on alot. i did get the car stuck in some water a few years ago. but anyway id appreciate the help. thanks!

The battery cable are the only thing you need to check for corrosion, If the alternator is just putting out 11 amps you will need to have the brushes changed out from the inside of the alternator or buy a new one , that might be the best way to go about it in the long run, this is your problem ,that's why you have to re charge the battery every few weeks, it will never be able to keep the battery charged up the way it should/
