I own 93 Dodge Dakota 4x4 V6 engine with about 160,000 miles on it. So anyway winter is over and there is a very annoying sound coming from the front left side of my truck. When I drive my truck and hit a small bump or make a turn I hear a sound that sounds like two styrofoam containers being rubbed together. If I shake my truck just a little bit on the left front side the sound can be heard. So I did further searching and it sounds like the sound is between the front left tire and the steering gear lower control arm. It's hard to tell if the sound is coming from a rubber boot or metal part.
What could cause a sound that sounds like styrofoam containers rubbing and is behind my front left tire area?
So far I replaced my shocks and lubed up some parts.
Please help my ears hurt
Thanks
