...this car? Good trade or not? I was just wondering how good of cars these are and are they pretty fast it has the 5.0 V8 TBI. What's the good and bad about these cars? Any info will help.

Also I wanting opinions on if you think trading my 1998 Dodge Caravan for it would be a good deal. It has custom paint and only 92,000 miles but it does have a dent on the drivers door and a exhaust leak. Let me know what you.
Oh I worded this wrong the firebird has the custom paint and such nothing has been changed on the van at all.

ITS A AWESOME CAR! i have had 3 camaros 2 firebirds of the 82-92 years. there super easy to work on. they are by far the fun-est car to drive. right now i have a 89 camaro 5 speed stick and its like the same thing. parts are Cheap as hell cuz theres alot in junk yard (from crashes)

hope it helps

Yeah, they are cool cars but you'll need to figure out the extent of the exhaust leak problem and how much to fix it. That may be a good opportunity to upgrade to a performance exhaust for more power and a better sound.

The 5.0 TBI is a great engine because it makes good power and gets good gas mileage also. It's also a really sexy looking car in my opinion and '92 was the last year for the 3rd gen Firebird. 92,000 miles is good for a car of that age.

Your '98 Caravan has depreciated a lot and will continue to, but the Firebird is beginning to become a classic.

The Firebird is going to cost you in insurance what a Corvette would. If you are under age 25, the payments will just literally take your breath away when you see them.

Blue book on the 98 Caravan is $4025 - $5350. Deduct hi miles $1000. Deduct custom paint $800. Deduct panel work $440. Deduct engine work $200. Should have decent tires on matched rims.

Fast and 5.0 TBI should never be used in the same paragraph, let alone the same sentence. It's a dead on reliable motor but it make no power...the car will be dog shit slow. Just keep that in mind.

With that said I own an 89 Trans Am GTA, my third 3rdgen Firebird(3rdgen=82-92). Stupid little things break but overall they're decent cars.

The good- The looks, great platform to build a high performance car out of, a good amount of aftermarket parts

The bad- Typical 80's-90's GM vehicle where stupid little things break, the LO3 motor(5.0 TBI) is a dog of a motor, horrible in the snow.

How much are they asking for the car.
