ok im 15 and my grandpa has had two dodge colts in the past and I love them to death well there amazing cars and fun especialy when you shut the doors ( ting , ting , ting , ting ) there like tin cans with a motor but there great. I want to take a 92 dodge colt and put a dodge viper engine in it put dodge viper headlights and tail lights and a body kit to futher resemble the dodge viper I want to make two versions a 92 version with all parts and engine from 92 and one from like the 2009 viper engine and all. I want to paint the old one with the viper red with the two white stripes and the new one SRT 10 the b package with the huge wing and the huge front splinter well anyways whats ur opinion and i want to put a dodge viper engine in a dodge dakota(2003 quad cab) kinda like the viper ram well anyways whats ur opinions on both please let me know.

I thought the Colt was a front wheel drive, and the Viper is definitely rear wheel drive. The V10 is also too big for it, so you'd need to build a custom suspension and stretch the front of the vehicle to make it work. Great concept, but it would require years of work.
The Viper/Dakota project is much more realistic, but would still require lots of custom work. If you have $100,000 to spend you might be able to make it happen. Of course, you could consider enrolling in a good tech school when you finish high school, then working your way into a job at a shop that does a lot of custom work. Earn while you learn!

Sounds cool and very ambitious, believe me i love a sleeper, but its probably not possible. The Vipers have V-10's and they are just too massive for this little car to hold. Then youd have to cut the body up for a driveshaft and find out how to weld a rear end. Its just too much work.

best way to do it is a tube chassis since the colt is front wheel drive and teh viper is rear. so theres not going to be anything "colt" about it. all of this is going to cost huge bucks so its effectively impossible
