1992 buick century fuel filter change?

im tired of messing with trying to change my fuel filter the car spits sputters and losses power at every stop i changed the spark plugs and wires now im working on the fuel filter


i cant get the stupid ass little rubber fittings off of the old fuel filter and im tired of messing with it so can i just cut the rubber lines and when i put the new filter on clamp the rubber lines to the filter
 
it,s probably like my 88 oldsmobile and yes you can just cut the line but save the part that screws into both ends of the filter then use 2 pieces of 3/8 fuel line and 4 small screw clamps. that what i did. i was just like you. the darn line would,nt come loose.
