...consumption...? I own a 1992 Buick Century. Recently the hose to my radiator came off. I had a really bad leak but it was reclamped and I have been watching my fluid levels. All appears clear. No leaks and fluid levels strong. Though lately I've been noticing a burning smell coming out of my air vents even if the heat is not on. The smell isn't all the time usually only after I just start the car. Then it goes away usually or when I'm in town with lots of starts and stops it comes back. Is this smell coming from where the antifreeze may have leaked and it is now getting warm? Also I have noticed an increase in my fuel consumption...I haven't been driving more or letting my car warm up. The weather is getting colder, does that make a difference in how much gas I use? I'm not panicking but want to know if I should worry. Also I have noticed no problems with my heat. The very large belt that is noticeable on the left side of the engine has no apparent wear either. Can someone maybe offer a clue or tell me that I'm over reacting? Thanks so much.
