really easy cost like 15 to 30 bucks ned new thermostat a gasket and coolant a screwdriver follow top hose back to top of motor remove hose remove two bolts kift housing easy scrape old gasket off replace

The radiator is filled with coolant and the reserve is filled with the correct mix of antifreeze/coolant also. There are no leaks - it is parked in the garage where I can keep track of leaks. It runs fine for about 20 minutes then the temperature gauge moves up to the hot mark and I pull over to let it cool down and check under car for leaks - check radiator, reserve tank and fuel pump - no leaks. Does this mean a new thermostat? If so, what is the approximate cost and labor time. Thank you.

it could be a number of things.

first check if your fan is working.

next, there could be a posibility of a clog somewhere in your cooling system.

if its none of those, then its probably your thermostat.
