1991 honda accord lx blinking green "s" light?

i have a 91 honda accord lx with 176,000 mi. i have owned the car for 6 months and have gotten a tune up and reg serviced. just yesterday i had an issue starting the car it took a couple times to get it to start. today i put some gas in and a blinking green "s" light came on. i try to drive and it feel like the transmission is not wrking. it takes a while to get out of first gear. once after 1st gear its almost normal but blinking green light any help im hoping not an expensive issue.
 
that happened to me to you need the speed sensor replaced dont be surprised if the check engine light come on also, oh ya i paid $130.00 canadain for the part i had it put in for free so im not sure how much it would cost in a shop
