I just sold my Jeep Libery because it is a gas guzzler and I wanted to pay off some bills. I am looking for a cheap 4cyl car, cheap on gas and insurance. I found a 1991 Honda Accord EXR with 195000 km's on it for $1750v obo. Looks like a nice car, I've never had a Honda before....is it a good car to have? Any 1991 Honda owners out there that would like to tell me about it's reliability in regards to it being an older car? Thanks!

i have an old accord..120000km..$3000 due to low mileage
Honda is a damn good car. basically u treat it like sh*t, it will still run.
i hav been driving it for 3 years now.. maintenance free~~lol..
so dont worry about its reliability!!
but the car has some small problems.these problems wont affect overall performance..
1.the power-windows need some manual power when snowing
2.the DRL(daytime running light) relay is a major problem..almost 50% of the old accords have DRL problem..ur DRL will not function well..in this case, you will have to turn on ur low beam~or you can spend $200 to have it repaired...or u can repair it urself (thats what i did)
3.the wipers suck!!

i say go for it , as longs as the motor is not knocking and has a new timing belt on it

accords arent as good on gas as civic and crx's are of that year.i dont know what kms are.im from the us and we go by miles if it had 195,000 miles i wouldnt buy it...with honda's they will go for ever dont get me wrong ive owned 17 over the past 10 yrs but still 195,000 is alot, dont buy anything over 150,000 for no no more than $1,000. .if you have 1700. to spend on a car buy a civic, with no motor for like 300-500 and throw a low milege engine in for about 1000 (cheaper if you do it yourself) thats what i would do
