1991 Ford Ranger 4cyl 2.3L?

I have a 1991 Ford Ranger, 4cyl 2.3L that I am having trouble diagnosing the problem with. I have trouble with it when I'm driving. It runs GREAT. The engine just suddenly cutswhen I stop and I'm about to accelerate.. It will start right back up. It just cuts when I stop at lights or way stops. Any idea what's causing this?

hmmm does it smell like gas after you fire it back up?

The IAC may not be functioning like it should, or is all dirty in there.

could be a broken wire, either at the switch or the ignition module connector..
