I have a 90' Toyota pickup that runs rough when i first run it i have to keep my foot on the gas or it will die when it is idling. Once the engine has heated up to normal temperature then i have to shut it off for 30 secs to a min for it to continue heating up and then when i start the truck it runs and idles fine. When it runs rough its like it is mixing the fuel to rich because the smoke out of the exhaust is very black and smells like a rich fuel mixture. It is a 1990 Toyota, 4 cylinder, 4 speed, Carb, and is the r22 engine. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
