Hi, I'm looking for a cheap beginner motorcycle (sportbike), and I have to make a choice fast.
So far the best deals I've encountered are 1987 Yamaha FZ700 for $1200 and Honda NT650 for $1700.
Which do you recommend??

I'm not sure if I like the mirrors on FZ700...
I can't tell how big they are either. The NT650 I heard has a low seat, would that be annoying (bending knee and such) if I'm 6 feet?
Also I could not find information on their spec. One thing I want to know is, which has faster acceleration?
I'm a real beginner and don't know anything about what these things go for...
Are they expensive? If so, what is an example of a better deal I could find in the east coast?
I would really like to purchase my first bike this fall...really. But I don't want to make a stupid decision either..
I think I really like the looks of the Hawk...
Is this not classified as sports type?
Do you think I can find one for much cheaper?
Is it much slower than the Yamaha?
It's pretty scratched up, 15k miles.
I would like some more opinions...
I hate to be asking so many questions but I'm really nervous and the seller's waiting.
