1990 ford f-150 idle problems?

My truck is a ford f-150 with a 302 fuel injection 2 wheel drive with auto tranni.When I start my truck it runs good then I put it in drive and it stalls.After I drive for about 20 minutes it runs ok. But if I start it and drive slow it stalls.Could it be the idle valve- it runs ok on neutral but stalls on drive. Any help Thanks
