my service eninge light came on and.I was wondering were i could i go to find a place that has a obd1 scaner...i dont wanna buy it im looking for a place like autozone.....i called autozone and they said they dont have a obd1, they said they do cars 96 and newer. i dont konw what to do....i also checked pepboys and they told me what autozone told me. HELP!!
 
My local independent shop has one and fixes my Coupe Deville all the time.
I would think any shop that repairs Cadillacs would have one also.
Just because the car is old, doesn't mean a mechanic would throw away his diagnostic equipment.
 
Why not get a Haynes or Chiltons book covering your DeVille? It has instructions on how to access the codes via the digital climate control center on you Caddy. And they would have listing of the code meanings.
