1989 ford probe wipers won't work. start but suddenly don't turn on completely.?

I turn on my wipers but hear the motor start to run them but they just move a little and stop. Cleaned off area around the wiper on the outside, snow, leaves, tree limbs, etc. but still won't work. If it's a fuse, where do I find the fuse box for the 1989 Ford Probe?
 
it might be a short in the wiper handle i had the same problem i had to turn the wipers on and then play with the wiper arm like tap it back forth and side to side to get mine to work.
 
It sounds like either the gear on the motor is stripped or the motor itself is going bad.
