1989 Buick Century Running Rough, What could it be?

My brother's '89 Buick Century has always missed ever since we bought it. Lately, it has been terrible. The car will start and die within a few seconds. This happens about 6 times, then it stays running. It is just when you go to accelerate, it hesitates and misses horribly. We've changed spark plugs & wires, crank sensor, air filter, mass air flow sensor....I really have no clue what is wrong with it. The car only has 93,000 miles on it and the 3.1L engines have been known to be very reliable. Thanks for your help!

You've replaced enough parts at this point to justify taking to
a local, reputable repair mechanic and let them take a look at it now. Why torture yourself anymore .....It's probably something quite simple.

You are not showing any engine lights ?

Good Luck to you...

check your cap and rotor. also your ignition coil and ignition control module. these also can be a culprit for the missfire. and make sure none of the plug wires are touching any hot parts on the engine and make sure they are not crossfired. and did u gap the plugs right? Check the fuel pressure also and replace the fuel filter.
