I have an 88 toyota corolla that I think has some carb issues. It acts as though it is getting too much air mixed in with the fuel. How do I reduce the amount of air intake?
Symptoms: The car does not want to accelerate from a dead stop. It chugs and resists until I get to about 30 mph and then all the sudden the rpms will increase and it will take off just fine. It also will randomly die when I slow down to turn or stop. My step dad has worked on motors for many years and he says its a problem with the carb but he wont touch it since it is a foreign car.
