Its a clanking kinda of sound as soon as it engages in reverse. U joints appear ok and transmission is in good condition. A friend said it might be the rear differential, if so does anybody know how costly it is to repair, can it be done easily? I am fairly savy when it come to repairing vehicles aside from things like transmission rebuilds etc. Is the rear end rebuild / replacement hard to do? How immediate is the need for it to be repaired, it also clanks slightly when letting off the gas as im rolling downhill...
