J jen Guest Dec 29, 2008 #1 I noticed I just got this truck and the guage for the battery says 9 when it shuld be 13 and the battery is new and was tested and is putting ut 13-14 volts so maybe the guage is off??

S sixpak666666 Guest Dec 29, 2008 #2 You should get your alternator tested, it may be only putting out 9 volts when it should be 14 or so. if it's ok it may be a wiring problem.
