1988 honda prelude si fog lights come on without head lights on?

how do you hook up the fog lights without having to hard wire the whole system to make them come on when u hit the switch instead of them only being able to come on with the head lights?

i saw a video/diagram but i cant find it anymore.
 
Good question, i assume there is a fuse for your fog lights. If so, you could probably run a new power wire from the fuse to the switch. Disconnect the old power wire and test the switch. If it works, leave it like that.

Try to find a wiring diagram for your car. As popular as those Honda Prelude were/are, there should be some could information out there.
