ok so im looking at a 1988 ford f350 duelly 2wd for 2000
is it a good deal im 16 now and my mom wants me to have a beast of a truck that will be safe in a crash
is ford good

It depends on how well it was taken care of. That's a lot of miles!

Tell your mom for me that a 1988 truck doesn't have the safety and crash survivability requirements of a car, or newer smaller truck and is much more apt to roll in most situations. An "88" is before the mandatory roof being a roll bar and so can cave in during a roll over. A new driver needs something more easily controlled so that they can AVOID accidents, not a tank to try to plow through in!
