1988 Chevy Truck 5.0 305 TBI High Idle?

I recently added some after market gauges (oil pressure, temp, and volts). After the install it didn't want to start. I messed with it all night and got it running. It now has a high idle and the check engine light is on. What is the problem, and how do I fix it?
 
you knocked off a vacuum line, or the big vacuum line to your brake booster.

do you still have "normal" feeling brakes?
