1986 Toyota Cresinda brake lights on & want go off?

I`ve disconnected the battery, but when I connect it back the brake lights come back on. They`re stuck on all the time for some reason.
No dash light indecators for problems are on.

brake light switch under dash at top of brake pedal most likely broken or as come loose easy fix
