1986 Ford Bronco II not getting fuel?

I have an 86 bronco II and have had some problems recently with fuel.

I replaced the in-tank fuel pump yesterday, that was the initial problem, then I drove about 5 miles, and it quit, like I ran out of gas( I have plenty gas in the tank) then if it sits for a few hours, it'll start up and run another 5 miles or so, and repeat. any ideas?

I'm thinking fuel filter now, but not sure
 
Sound like your fuel filter are malfunctioning, anyway you can try testing a new one to make it sure. You can also change your fuel filter. It maybe clogging with dirt already, fuel cannot pass through. Check your ignition coil if its working fine. I suggest before you do all of these, you can try cleaning your tank first, and putting some fresh fuel again. Hope this helps!
