1985 Pontiac Parisienne Shutter/Missing Problem?

This car is shuttering or missing at idle in gear, you can fell it while it's in "N" but not anywhere as bad. The shuttering and missing go's away after you hit 10MPH or more. I am thinking it need plugs and wires but don't know for sure, It's got a Chevy 305 Small block..

Also when it gets around 35 MPH getting ready to shift in overdrive the problem gets really bad. I changed the PCV and it helped a little bit but not really

You can't be serious, a 25 year old car that probably only has a half million miles or so on it, is shuttering and missing? I just can't believe it.

your car need a turn up plugs wires air filer pvc distributor cap and you will be good to go

Its funny that you have this particular car they are a rarer type of pontiac, my freind rchecking the easy stuff like the ignition components to make sure they are not decaying. I would check the timing, the vacuum lines, the carb, make sure the intake is free from debris and it has a fresh filter, also check the fuel filter. If i had to make a really good guess without looking i would say it was a vacuum line.Also check the tranny fluid , this doesnt have anything to do with the prob but the car is so old.
