1985 Honda VF500F Interceptor fairings question?

I just picked up an '85 VF500F Interceptor today, and can't say I'm particularly fond of the open engine design. I've done a bunch of reading into putting side fairings on it, but in terms of actually get your hands on some, it's pretty tough. Well, I found a lower fairing for a VF700F/750F today that still scoops under like the original one, but also expands upward and back, clipping under the upper fairing and covering most of the side. My question is, will this fit onto my VF500F? from what I've read, they both have a DOHC V4 and have the same engine dimensions. I'm capable of making some minor modifications, so even if it's really close but not the same, I'll likely still jump on it. I super imposed an image of a VF750F over a VF500F and it looks like they line up pretty close, with minor differences in the silver bracket around the engine, and in the plastics, but still incredibly close. Does anyone know how close of a match these bikes are? Will this be doable, if not as it is then with minor modifications? Thanks in advance!
