1984 to watch or not to watch...

1984 is on Sky Modern at 3.05pm and I was going to watch it.

I hear/see people commenting on it all the time and was wondering is it all it's cracked up to be? Is it worth the 2 hrs to sit through it?

I'm aware that it's about an all seeing all knowing government but what's the conclusion at the end of it?
(Yes I love spoilers ).

Whatcha reckon to watching? Yay or nay?

Definite must see if only for John Hurt and Richard Burton (in his last appearance).
Far better, supposedly, than the 50s version which had a happy ending tacked on to it and incensed Orwell's widow so much that she had it removed from circulation forever.

Definitely watch it. Seminal film, very disturbing and with. these days. some very worrying echoes of current times. But don't expect a happy ending!
(And beware if you're scared of rats...)
