Here's the deal:
What: 1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans am 5.0L H-type engine.
Problem: My gauge lights in the instrument panel don't work. The overhead light works, the seat belt, check engine, choke, etc. lights work, but no gauge lights.
Right now there is no fuse in the box for the instrument panel lights because when i put a new fuse in, it blows the fuse.
I think it's a short, but before I go buying new switches and such, does anyone have any other suggestions? Maybe an idea as to where the short is likely to be and how to find out for sure?
