This is a 1983 honda CX650 custom. i put a set of aftermarket slip on mufflers that had way more flow than the stock mufflers. of course the bike was very lean and had to be re-jetted. i used my orfice drill bit set to open up the jets little by little and eventually got the bike running really well. well.... at least at 0-1/2 throttle. if you are fimilar with the cabs you will know there are two main jets. one for 0-1/2 throttle and 1/2 to WOT. when the jets were resized they were done together so the primary and secondary would be opened up the same. my question is, should the secondary be opened up more since it is a higher speed? the bike appears to be running lean at 7,000+ rpm. and lacks power it had before. also is there a good way i can check the fuel mixture at these high speeds. like i said before the bike runs very well and the plugs are a nice golden brown color. except at highway speeds. 75-80mph. any tips. specs would be great too.
