I have a 1983 Chevy Caprice Classic that I am trying to restore. Problem is I don't have a manual for this car, and I need some help with the Transmission, on how to fix it, not too sure what is wrong. Does any one know a website that I can Transmission help for the Caprice?

Get the correct Chilton's manual. it will not only show pictures, give step by step instructions, and the tools necessary.

They have saved me 1,000's of head aches to know how to do the job right.

For special information, and further knowledge try a Caprice Car Club. Most clubs are happy to share specific knowledge. And they can point you in the right directions for parts, and shows.

Actually, transmission repairs and rebuilds should be left to professionals. There are numerous specialty tools required for the repair of transmissions, which the normal back-yard mechanic doesn't have or can't afford to buy.

Try your local auto parts store for a Haynes manual for your car, it should be easy to find or order. Another better way is to get on ebay and find yourself a dealership manual for your car, that the mechanics would have used to repair your vehicle.
