1983 cadillac deville heater control panel come on but don't turn the blower on?

found that if i connect the wire to the a/c control module and ground wire from it the blower works ,i dont have a/c so having a/c is not a concern but the blower runs constantly when i splice both of those wires together will i need a another module because its obviously bad.but i have no a/c components under the hood,or is it anyway i can bypass it and still have my blower work in all different speed and without a constant one high speed,run even with ignition off?Note:its not original its have a 350 chevy engine
or should i wire in a potentimeter that i cut off independent of the car
 
since you have already rigged the car you can use a variable resister to control the fan. Make sure that you use one that is rated for at least 15 amps.and fuse the positive side for 10 amps. Also if you take apart the CONTROLLER you will probably find a burnt wire on the circuit board you could try a hard wire repair on that. best to go to junk yard and look for a new to you controller. although I am afraid most of them will be crushed by now.
